Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Books

Search engine optimization is great but it usually takes a while to see the results and to get the traffic from an SEO based website. That's why I use pay per click search engines. You get immediate traffic and it lets you test a new niche or market quickly.

However, I also design my sites with search engine optimization in mind. It's only smart to do so. By designing your site to be search engine friendly you can set yourself up to get good rankings in the google, yahoo, msn and many other main directories resulting in lots of good free traffic.

The books below explains search engine optimization in detail so that most anyone can understand it. Search engine optimization is much harder than throwing up a page or site and the rules for this are often changing so I constantly read from books or sites like the ones listed below.

The Affiliate Marketer's Handbook, by James Martell offers some of the best search engine optimization information that I have found. It is also an excellent book explaining how to work in the affiliate marketing business.

It is a BIG book with lots of information but he breaks it all down making it easy to understand. I think I can say that it's simple enough for those of you just starting out, but it certainly has lots of in-depth information for the more advanced.

I've read many books before the Affiliate Marketer's Handbook but this one really does offer information that I had never read until this one. 

On the cheaper side, James Martell offers a twice a month audio newsletter for $10/month that you can download and listen to on your computer. He often tells of some of the more recent projects that he is working on and suggests affiliate programs that he sees profitable. He also addresses changes that he sees in the affiliate market and much more.

The Unfair Advantage Book on Winning the Search Engine Wars is constantly updated allowing you to see what each search engine recommends as far as how to build a website that gets high rankings from domain names, how to name your webpages, how to structure your site so that all of your pages will be found by the search engines and much more.

With the book comes a 6 month free subscription to the Search Engine News website which I am still a member of after 4 years. I have found information through their archives that helped me to understand things that I could not find anywhere else.

Also, if I didn't understand something I have often wrote them to get an answer and they have always been very helpful. I fully recommend the book as well as their website subscription.
