Have a from that drops in from the top or slides in from the side when people access your page. The drop in form will offer them something form free like a report, an ebook or maybe just the option to sign up for your free newsletter.

Squeeze page:
This is a short webpage that has a compelling headline, some bullet points about what you will give in exchange for their information (free report, audio, dvd, ebook, etc...) and then the form for them to enter their name and email address.

Many people see squeeze pages as the best way to go because the correct way to setup a squeeze page is that the person will HAVE to enter in their information in order to view anymore of your website. This way you have the highest percentage of people to signup on your list.
