LinkedIn is a social networking site that creates business and job opportunities to its members. The atmosphere in the site is somewhat business-like although it advertises itself as a social networking site. This is clearly suggested by their tag line "Your professional relationships are key to your professional success."

The website is a gateway for professionals. Hip and cool, professionals can bystand their time in the network and discover how easy it is to interact with other professionals in their field.

The site creates a network of contacts for the members of up to the third degree. You will have a profile that can be found by lost business contacts, partners and clients.

LinkedIn also has tools that members can use for convenience. You have the LinkedIn Answers where members can post their questions to be answered by the whole LinkedIn community.

There is also the LinkedIn Groups where professionals of the same field can form their own discussions and offer services. This flexibility can only be found in the Internet. So jump right on into the LinkedIn network and you may just find yourself in the company of the best professionals in the future!

There are plenty of other sites that offer business-specific networking tools, but LinkedIn is by far the largest and busiest.

To get started at LinkedIn you simply need to join, create your profile page,then search for the names of people you know and trust, and invite them to connect to you.
