Like most Web 2.0, social networking sites, FaceBook aims to connect people to people they know. It connects you or helps you find school mates, office mates, previous co-workers and other people who you would want to have contact with. Facebook was originally built for college students, but it is now being used by ordinary every day people to huge Fortune 500 corporations all realizing that it can be used for business networking in addition to socializing. At FaceBook, you will have a personal page where you can display your photos, upload videos and tell more about yourself. You can join groups and foster friendship with members of the community. Access of profiles is limited to peers from the same network or if you prefer, to a network you consider as your "friends." There are several features of FaceBook that makes it a fun site to visit regularly. One is the "Wall". The “Wall” is a place where a friend (or those who can view your profile) post public comments to or about you. Another is "Poke," a virtual poke that tells you that a friend pokes you, a way of saying "hello" or "how are you doing." "Status" is another interesting feature that tells you about the activities and whereabouts of a particular user. The most used (and popular) feature is the photo upload application because of its unlimited upload feature and of course, it is the very reason why FaceBook users are browsing the site: to see photos of their friends and see how they look.
