Watch Building a Website / Blog Overview Video...
Ok. We have gone through the first three steps where I chose a niche, found a product to promote, we walked through the process of how to build a list of keywords which will attract the right kind of customers to my site, but now I need a website or a blog.
So let me lay this out for you:
In order to have a site, you need a domain name. Something like in my case, myonlinesuccess.com.
You then need someone to host your website, called a web host or web hosting company in order for your domain to be seen on the web. Otherwise, you just own a domain name that no one will ever see. Don't worry, the following tutorials will walk you through the entire process of how to setup a website or a blog in the quickest way possible, even if you have no experience whatsoever.

--------------------------------- Choosing a Domain... --------------------------------- Do you want your own domain name such as mywebsite.com?
NOTE: If I were to suggest that you spend any money whatsoever getting your internet marketing business started, it would be to buy your own domain name which will cost you less than $10/year. This helps you to build your name and brand.
So where should you purchase a domain name?
I recommend GoDaddy.com. I have lots of domains registered with Godaddy and I love their service. Everything is very easy to manage and their customer support is very good. You can also sometimes find domains for less than $3/year at GoDaddy.

--------------------- Outsourcing... ---------------------
Are you someone that just does not want to take on the task of building a website or blog? You know, there are places on the web where you to hire a professional for whatever task you need including building a website for literally pennies on the dollar.
Let me say this first though...
This is just my opinion so take it or leave it for whatever it's worth.
Although you can hire someone to build a site for you, I don't recommend it. There are some that will argue that if you don’t know anything about something then it is better for you to hire it out while you work on the things that you do know something about.
While I see this as a good argument, I still believe that it is good to build and control your own website. My reasoning is that in affiliate marketing or any form of internet marketing for that matter, you need to do a lot of testing. Sometimes I may change a headline or some of the content within the page in order to test and hopefully increase sales.
To make quick changes like that I need to have complete control over my website. If someone else controls my website then I would have to contact them and request a change be made and even then they may not get it right. You really need to be able to understand and be able to control the complete process of building and maintaining your site(s).
But for anyone that would rather outsource it then I suggest using one of the following companies to handle the task for you:
Here you can describe your project to qualified people that will bid for your business. You can view their portfolio's, write to them, read feedback that others have left about them and more allowing you to choose the person that you want to work for you.
And like I mentioned before... you really can find a professional for whatever task you need for literally pennies on the dollar.
These tutorials will help you to build your own site even if you have no experience whatsoever. They are both very easy to use and with either of them you can have a site or blog live in a very short time. Best of all... they're free! |
